LONDON (Reuters) – British senior minister Michael Gove stated on Sunday the door remained “ajar” for talks on a post-Brexit commerce deal to proceed if the European Union modified its strategy.
“I believe the EU successfully ended the present spherical of talks final week. It was the case we have been making progress however then the EU retreated from that,” he informed BBC TV.
Requested if the door was ajar for talks to proceed, Gove stated: “It’s ajar. We hope that the EU will change their place; we’re definitely not saying in the event that they do change their place that we will not speak to them.”
